How would I form a research group on socialism and democracy?

Contact the student affairs office. They can let you know if there is already an existing group on this topic. They also have forms to register a new group, which allows you to advertise on campus and maybe have access to activity fee funds.

One way to go about forming a research group on this topic would be to start talking to political science professors. Professors are excellent resources who can offer you suggestions and tell you about people who may be able to help you. Also, don't forget about campus student activities.
