The simplest thing to do is to unbutton and unzip your pants. Use your one hand to hold your pants loosely and your other hand to poke the shirt tails into your trousers, smoothing the shirt as you go around your body. Now button your pants, zip your fly, buckle your belt and you are ready to roll!

If you must tuck in your polo shirt, wear a nicer pair of casual pants. Khakis without cargo pockets with a brown leather belt that has a nice buckle.

Push the bottom of your shirt into your pants/skirt/etc. If not already, fasten your bottoms. Lightly pull out just enough of the shirt to fold over your belt (if you're wearing one). It needs to be even all around and you'll want to look clean and not have big pieces hanging out.

If you are a guy, you should wear them with jeans and a belt and tuck it in just behind the belt buckle at the top, leaving the rest out.

NO, don't tuck in a polo shirt, it's meant to have a relaxed but classic look. Tucking draws attention to any type of gut that you have, and makes you look like an uptight jerk.
