How much money do you start with when playing monopoly?

Each player should start with 1500 units of currency when playing Monopoly. I say units because Monopoly is played in many different countries through the world and as such the money could be in Pounds, Euro's, Dollar's, etc. This money should be divided in the following denominations 2x500, 4x100, 1x50, 1x20, 2x10, 1x5, 5x1.

You should start with $1,500. The breakdown of the bills shoud be 2 each of $500s $100s and $50s, 6 $20s, and 5 each of $10s, $5s and $1s.

It's $1500, from memory. It's basically two (or one $500 in notes), two $100, two $50, six $20, five $10, five $5, and five $1. I'm not sure if they are correct, but it should have instructions in regards to it.

you start monopoly out with two hundreds two five hundreds two fiftys six twentys five tens five fives and five ones so actually its eleven hundred dollars you start with

Prior to 2008 you received $1500 broken like this: (2)$500, $100, $50 (6)$20 (5) $10, $5, $1. But after 2008 it was broken like this: 2x$500 4x$100 1x$50 1x$20 2x$10 1x$5 5x$1. So, it really just depends on which version of the game you are playing.

It's $1500. The directions specify what denominations it's supposed to be in, but as long as the total is right it doesn't matter what the breakdown is
