Salaries of models varies greatly depending on what type of work you are doing. It can range from $40,000 to $300,000 and up. Female models, on average, are known to make more money than male models.

A male model just starting out without an agent should expect to not make very much money. Of course the sky is the limit if you are successful, but a male model starting out and finding his own gigs shouldn't expect more than a few hundred a week.

In talking with other guys who model or modelled previously, the answer is always, "crazy money." I agree. In 1985 I would make $1500 for an hour of runway plus fittings. Several guys I have spoken with lately said they made $11000 to $20000 for weekend travel shoots.
