Numbers vary depending on source, but anywhere from 704 to 711 survived which was about 32% of the passengers on board. Women and children were more likely to survive.

The Titanic had about 2,200 passengers on it when it left and there were 1,500 killed in the sinking of the famous boat, so there were about 700 survivors in the ill-fated trip that has been so well romanticized by James Cameron and Leonardo DiCaprio. There's plenty of information on the survivors out there.

When the Titantic sank in 1912, there were approximately 700 survivors out of 2,228 passengers and crew members. The low survival rate was due to lack of lifeboats.
