How long does it take to recover from rejection in a relationship?

Each person is different and it depends on how long you were with the other person. A short relationship is much easier to get over than one that was longer.

If you have been in a serious, long-term relationship that ends because the other person decides not to be with you for some reason, it will take one year to fully recover. Going through the passing of all the seasons helps one to heal.

For some people it's quick. For others it can be a long time if they don't do very well with rejection.

Oh wow, tough question, it can take quite a while. It is very hard to realize to yourself that somebody does not love you like you love them. You begin to question yourself, Why? Am I not good enough? This can be a very hard time, when you meet someone new, that will make it easier.
