Recovery times vary enormously for C-sections. There's no lifting or straining for two weeks afterward for risk of opening your wound again; It can take up to six weeks for the vaginal bleeding to stop (Though it should not be period-heavy after 4 days). Always get a second opinion when you are told C-section is a requirement.

the USA has a 31% C-section rate, which is double what it should be. Be careful.  add a comment

You are usually in the hospital two to three days after a c-section. However, like other surgeries, it takes four to six weeks to recover fully once you at home with your new baby. Remember, surgery is like trauma to the body even when it is a planned operation for delivery.

Takes a full 6 weeks to recover. During the first two weeks, limit how many trips you take up and down the stairs, do not drive, rest when your baby rests. Please listen to what your doctor tells you. You can hurt yourself if you lift anything heavier than your baby too soon.

The recovery time is normally four to six weeks. Doctors usually want patients for this procedure to be out of work for at least 2 months.
