It is different growth for everybody usually a day or two for it to start growing. If you are pushing your cuticles back frequently then they tend to grow faster.

Cuticle is the end part of the skin or 'epidermis'in scientific jargon. It is skin and therefore the cells of the cuticle die and is shed, before it begins to regrow. The regrowth or 'regeneration', scientifically begins before the cuticle is shed and the process of shedding is helped by the growth of new cells which replace the old cells.

It will take 4 to 6 months for a fingernail to regrow or about 8 to 12 months for a toenail. Sometimes the nail does not grow properly due to some nail problems being difficult to cure. Nails take a long time to grow and repair themselves. The nail will not attach again until the new nail grows.
