You can buy pregnancy test kits sensitive enough to give an accurate reading from the first day of your expected period, and some which you can use up to a week before your expected period (I don't know how accurate these are). Alternatively you can have a blood test 48 hours after intercourse which checks for 'early pregnancy factor'.

There are a few pregnancy test on the market that can test from three to five days prior to your missed period, however it is best to wait till a day after your missed period to test. It is also recommended that you use first morning urine to test with.

There are home pregnancy test kits that can detect if you are pregnant as early as one day after your missed period. You should get a test or get blood work drawn at a clinic.
