Divide the numbers on a calculator. For example if you got 33/37 on a test the calculator would give you 0.8918. Then just move the decimal 2 places right (89.2%)

To work out percentages for a fraction, you divide the numerator (the top one) by the denominator (the bottom one).

Percentages, as the name suggests if you know Latin roots, are parts in one hundred. To convert a number into a percent, just multiply by 100. You can convert to a decimal first, if you like, though this is not necessary. Example: 1/2 = .5 = 50% -- here we multiplied .5 by 100 to get 50%.
