An invitation to tea should be formal, polite and should outline the type of dress expected. It can also include what the invitee should bring with them.

The most important thing is to let the guests know what to expect - what type of party it is. Start your invitation with maybe a poem, followed by define the tea party. Include how to dress, what time, the address and the method to RSVP.
