How do you use a Yu-Gi-Oh god card?

You summon them as you would normally with other cards. But they do not have any effect written on them, so it is unclear on how to use them. Also, the use of god cards are prohibited in all tournaments.

To summon a god card,you have to sacrifice 3 different monsters on your side of the field.the winged dragon of ra is a special case as in its attack and defence is the combined total of the 3 monsters you sacrificed.They cannot be targeted as a target of direct spell or trap cards.Their effects aren't written on the card, though.
