Depends on who your cell phone carrier is. Verizon, and AT&T can unlock them for you for free if you have their service. Try going to the mall and go by each of the stands and ask around.
Some phone's are carrier locked and you are not allowed to use any other SIM on it. For unlocking it you can either contact your carrier or get unlock codes online.
