How do you turn off the navigation system on a Cadillac SRX?

It has a selection in the options menu to turn it off, Open up the menu and look around a bit. It should be pretty obvious inside the options other menu. If your looking to remove it completely you can always remove the fuse. But in these model cars the fuses run in line with other parts. Be careful.

Their are a couple of ways you can go about doing this. Firstly you can access the main interface menu from your Cadillac SRX's GPS menu, but i'll assume this is broken since you're having trouble. If that doesn't work, you're going to need to have a mechanic look at the electrical board.

There should be a power button on the navigation system. If there is noe power button you can open up the fuse box and there will be a fuse for it and you can just pull out the fuse and that will turn it off.

From the main menu choose navigation options. This will have all the options you can select which pertain to the navigation. There is an option called "disable nav screen" and you can choose this if you want the screen to be dark when driving. Your manual will elaborate if you need more.

select navigation option from the menu. You will come across an option called disable nav screen, from here you can choose what type of feature you want it to navigate like. You have a knob that is named PWR-Vol that are located in the lower part of the navigation system. Press knob to turn it on or off.

There is a knob labeled as 'PWR-Vol'. It is located on the lower left corner of the navigation system. Just press that knob to turn on and off the navigation system.
