How do you sue a franchiser?

It's not the main company at fault.

It is likely that you are unhappy about a failure of the agreement: somebody isn't doing what they said they would. The franchise agreement is a contract and falls under contract law. An attorney would have to review the contract and your claims to determine if legal action is in order. A letter might help resolve the matter.

You would just have to get a lawyer to file a civil suit against the franchiser. Most franchises operate under their own company name under the banner of the bigger corporation so a lawyer can direct the suit at them. The corporation tends to have deeper pockets though and may protect the franchiser depending on their franchise agreement.
