Typically the first number is the height of the wheel , the second is the width, and the third is the rim diameter.

This means that the tire diameter at the bead is twenty five inches and the will fit only those rims that are six inches up to twelve inches wide at the bead.

The first number 25 is the approximate height. the second number 6 is the width. The third number 12 is the rim size.

All makes and models of vehicles have different tire sizes. You look on the outside of the tire and it tells you what size tire fits your vehicle.
