How do you make your own Christmas gift tags?

I purchase colored card stock and punch out the tag using a tag punch purchased at a craft store. My favorite tags are embossed. I stamp the tag with a real pretty stamp, put on some embossing powder, tap off the excess and heat it using a heating gun or hair dryer until the embossing powder melts.

You can use stickers and stamps to make them but I recommend buying them. You can buy them from the dollar store for 1 dollar.

You could use large white stickers and cut into the shape of Christmas trees or some other similiar Christmas shape, such as a reindeer, snowflake etc.

A great way to make Christmas gift tags is to cut out designs from last years Christmas cards , punch a hole in the cut-out shape and add a ribbon.
