A boric acid solution is often used in the cure of pink eye. First be certain both utensils and water are sterile. Combine one quart sterilized water to one teaspoon powdered boric acid. For severe infections, use four ounces saline solution to one teaspoon boric acid.

Wash,dry hands. Boil 1 cup of water add 1 Tablespoon of medicinal boric acid powder. Mix and let cool. Verify with pharmacy for medicinal strength. Washing hands is very important.

Use 1 quart of boiling water and 1 tbsp. of boric acid powder(from pharmacy). Cool. Soak a cotton ball in the solution and wipe it across the eye to remove any discharge. Fill an eye cup 1/2 way with the solution, put firmly against the eye and tilt the head back to flood the eye. Should clear up 2-3 days
