You can make one with cardboard paper or any thick paper. First you determine the size you want and cut it out. It should be a few inches bigger than your picture. Then you cut a rectangle in the middle that is slightly smaller than your picture. Then tape picture!

It may be just as expensive to set yourself up to make them! You need a miter box and saw to cut wood at precise angles. Buy wood moldings at the home reno store and cut the wood to your measurements. Use a heavy-duty staple gun to attach them together.

You may certainly make your own frame by cutting pieces of wood to fit together in a square shape. However, you could also make the project even easier by using items like small twigs tied or glued together. Simply add glass to protect your photo and fit with a cardboard backing.

I would suggest making your own picture frames with everyday materials that you find out in the yard. These "nature" picture frames are fun to make, and absolutely free. Some items you can use are dried up twigs, seashells, nuts and seeds. All you need is some cardboard for the backing, than decorate as you wish.

In the past i have made picture frames out of cardboard. Cut it to your desired size, Cut out the frame center, and add a backing with a space to slide in the photo. Than glue on magazine clippings, sand, twigs, anything you can think of.

Believe me, garage sales always have picture frames for $1.00 and up. It is much more expensive to make them. You need a radial arm saw and router.

First you need to know how to use a saw and cut corners. You can find frames at garage sales that are cheaper then trying to make them. The wood and saw will cost you more.
