If you're talking about "mash-ups" as seen on the hit TV series "Glee," you find yourself a good arranger and they literally splice the songs into one new one.

You can make mash-ups using software such as GarageBand, or freeware like Audacity. Audacity is really versatile and offers directions based on the operating system you run.

My recommendation would be to blend them at the point that resembles the most. If you have a chorus that sounds similar to another part of your other song then that is the perfect place to combine them.

This is called an arrangement or a mashup. First find songs which are in the same key and have similar beat structure. If the song is not in the same key, transpose it so it is in the same key. Then create transition matrial that will link the two songs together.

Start by changing the tempo, key, dynamics, etc, of each song. Then make transitions between different parts of each song, using what you've done to facilitate this.

Juxtaposition, as in the process of making a number of songs into one song, can be done many ways. If you want them to 'blend' in a medley sort of way, you should use 'modulation' (look it up). You can also "just go" to the next without stopping.

You could use one song as the verse. Then use the most catchy song as your chorus. The last song could be your bridge transition. Depending on the style of song, you would need to be sure that the lyrics somewhat related to each other. It's important to tie the song together with a general theme that listeners will remember.

To fuse multiple recordings together, you will need recording software, such as Cakewalk, GarageBand, or ProTools. Open the tracks, drag them into a file, and place one after the other.

This can easily be done with software such as Windows Video Editor and even a free trial of a multiquence audio editing device.

You could use the free software called Audacity which allows you to manipulate audio files using various ways. It also has the functionality to overlap, join, cut, copy and modify any sound file.
