There are many different types of chocolate volcano cake recipes. Some are a lava type cake that when you cut into it the center is filled with a soft chocolate filling that oozes out like lava. Another type uses chocolate cake and is drizzled with some type of alcohol and then lit on fire before serving.

Bake the cake in a large metal can. Then freeze it. Once the cake is frozen you can carve it into the shape of a volcano.
