Join your local rose garden associations. There are seminars as well at arboretum's in your areas. Garden centers have experts in this area.

There are several books on roses that would be helpful, but I think the best way to learn more is to visit growers and nurseries to see the actual plants.

The common way to rose identification may be learning its detailed history. The different modes of sepals and petals could be exposed. The elaborate rose classification with resource collection would be effective in rose classification.

To learn and identify the rose you can note the size of the flower and look at the stem for size and shape. Examine closely the shape of the flower and leaf of the plant. Observe how many times the plant produces flowers in a given year and measure the height of the plant.
