One person is a player. Everyone around you would be a conspiracy. It's unlikely that a player is playing everyone you know, so find out what their friends and family and your friends and family think. If the possible player is disconnected or universally disliked -- there's a good possibility that you are being gamed.

The most obvouis clue that you are being played is the feeling of being lied to. Anyone that lies will eventually get caught.

The only way you can know for sure is to find concrete evidence. However, you can be suspicious if your boyfriend or girlfriend starts spending a lot less time with you can won't tell you what he or she is doing. Also, if he or she keeps leaving the room to take calls, I'd start paying attention.
