This is really easier than you think. It depends if you mean knitting two color strands together, or two cables of separate colors. I knit assiduously and constantly consult the LionBrand Yarn site, as well as Ehow and other sites. You will need a cable needle and a clear pattern.

You start with choosing the two different colors that you would like to utilize. Once you have picked them out you begin by twining together the cables and then knit as you normally would.
