You would buy the motion detector lights and then follow the instructions. Usually, it would involve mounting the lights at a certain height and making sure nothing is blocking them.

If you are replacing the standard lights that are already there, you will need to shut the electricity off and remove the old outdoor light and the wires to your new unit should match up with the old, connect them correctly and mount back on the house, flip the electricity and your done. Or you can call an electrician.

I would get some information by buying one and it should have the directions included. If not there are always someone working in that expertise at the local hardware stores.

Just you easily remove your light and mount the motion detector. Put the wire for the motion sensor on one terminal and the wire going to the lights on the other end.

This is actually fairly simple, but be sure to turn off the electricity for the whole house before following directions.

They hook up like any normal light. There is a hot, neutral and a ground that you hook up. You may want to make sure that you have constant power running to them, unless you want them to be switched.
