Hitting fairway woods is similar to hitting good iron shots. The key is to hit down on the ball to give it lift.

Hit the fairway wood almost like a long iron. You are hitting off the ground ( fairway ) and need to sweep the grass to get good contact. The shaft is longer than an iron so you will need to adjust your posture accordingly. Practice at the range first.

A fairway wood should be selected when you are greater than 200 yards to the green. The ball should be lined up near your front foot, and you should swing similar to your stroke off the tee. You need to brush the ball off the ground and not dig into the ground like you would with an iron.

Like you do your driver off of the tee, except you obviously aren't using a tee. Your backswing and follow through the should be the exact same, just won't go as far.

When hitting fairway woods, you want to make sure you don't hit the ground, but only skim the ground below the ball for maximum distance and loft. Place the ball up in your stand with your front foot parallel or slightly in front of the ball. This decreases your chance of slicing.

You hit a hybrid ( fairway wood ) by having a balanced stance with your knees slightly bent. The ball should be slightly inside your left heel ( for right handed golfers ). The distance depends on the length of the shaft of the club. Take a practice swing to find correct plane and then hit your shot with confidence.

No different than you hit from the tee, except the ball isn't elevated (much like an iron shot from the fairway).

In order to properly hit a fairway would play the ball more forward in your stance similar to the ball position that you would use when hitting your driver. This will allow you to sweep the ball and hit it more solidly and higher without hitting the ground before.

It is a very similar swing to hitting irons and driver. Basically, the ball is moved up further in your stance to create a more sweeping motion, and to prevent digging the club into the ground. Take practice swings, trying to just graze the earth slightly behind to in front of the ball.

The best way to hit a fairway wood is to move it up in your stance, and swing with a sweeping motion, taking a small divot, or no divot at all. It's a hard club to hit, so practice, practice, practice!
