If it is just a mild burn from the boiling water you can try putting some aloe vera on the skin to reduce the pain. Go to doctor if severe.

Put the burnt area of skin in cool/semi-cold water as soon as possible. Do not put ice on the burn. Run the burnt area under cool water for 20 minutes if there is damage, and do NOT put grease or other such items on. Take ibuprofen for the pain. If burn is severe, and pain continues, see a doctor soon!

First you should run cool not cold water on the area that was affected by the boiling water do not use butter or margrine that used to be an old remedy which is really bad for the burn. Then you should seek medical help for the burn.
