You would probably first want to consult a veterinarian. Usually worming procedures consist of administering an oral solution, often sold in a syringe. The solution kills the worms and also acts in a preventative manner. Ask about it at your feed and farm supply store.

If you would like to worm a laying hen, just politely tell the hen that you need it to adjust its position so you can insert a worm into it.

You can add a teaspoon full of apple cider vinegar to each gallon of drinking water of the hens. This will make the hens less hospitable for worms, because it will change the PH level of the digestive tract.
