In Microsoft Word 2007 you simply select the text you want to change. You then click on the "Home" Tab and click on the Font group. Click on "Change Case" (The icon with the "Aa" symbol) and make your selection.

This depends on what program you are using and is solely an optional feature programs may or may not have. Word does have options to change text from upper to lower or to title type of capitalization. This is also a feature in wordperfect. It is not a basic feature of windows.

Sure we can change the typed text to all caps without retyping the word in MS WORD by using the short cut keys such as SHIFT + F3 KEYS. Select the words to be capitalized and press the keys such as SHIFT+ F3 TWICE and all selected words will be capital.

It is generally not possible to change text to all caps without retyping for most users. Most programs do not have this option natively.
