Many times a garbage disposals blades or teeth will become corroded with rust, or hard water deposits. If this occurs call a serviceman, disposals are very dangerous pieces of equipment and best serviced by a professional. Do not attempt to service your own garbage disposal unit under any circumstances. Period.

You can go to your local drug store and buy a bottle or three of the liquid that advertises clearing of clogged pipes. Follow the directions on the back and stop putting food into your sink.
