They are generally suppose to subside by puperty They are a form of birthmark and you cannot really get rid of them. If you have not passed puberty ye, you have something to look forward to. But if you are well past there is really not anything you can do. Its your birthmark!

Mongolian spots are common in newborns presenting as a hyperpigmented patch over the back ,thighs etc. They are benign and usually disappear by one year of life. They are harmless even if they persist but for confirmation you may seek dermatological opinion as it's unusual for it to persist for too long.

Most Mongolian spots fade as you get older. The color comes from cells that contain melanin, called melanocytes, that are deep under the skin. There is no treatment for it. Hopefully it will continue to fade as you get older. Otherwise, you can try covering it with make up, using a yellow-green shade.

Most common at birth, Mongolian spots are harmless and the best treatment is just to give them time as they typically fade as a person grows. If they are still an issue, plastic surgeons can use lasers to reduce the appearance of the spots.

It is usually recommended not to waste time and resources in removing Mongolian spots because they usually appear on parts of the body, which can be covered by clothes. Laser treatment (depending on the type of skin and depth of spot) might not be successful at all times.
