On the main menu, enter "Settings," then "Network Settings. " Select "Infrastructure Mode," which will list your saved connection settings, and choose "New Connection," which you can rename if you want. Then you'll be given the option to scan for a network, and hopefully it will list available wifi networks you can connect to.

The first thing to do is go and get some internet service from a provider. Then connect this line to a router. The enable the wireless on the psp then connect to it. Look for a guide online as to how to do this for each type of internet connection.
