The best way to get cooking grease out of a shirt is by first soaking the shirt in warm water and scrub with powder laundry detergent. Then the magic part is put some baking soda on it and scrub, all the grease will be gone.

A mixture of dish detergent and Baking Soda. Put on spot let it sit for 30 minutes rub spot and rinse. repeat if necessary. Fels Naptha soap, which can be found in some grocery stores in detergent aisle, is a good universal spot cleaner. It comes in a bar.
