You need to coat your chicken pieces in beaten egg. After roll them into bread crumbs. Heat your oil and fry in a stock pot so there's no splattering.

The best method is in a lot of oil- using a pot half full heat the oil up until its very hot, drop the chicken in, remove with tongs.

My grandma made the best oven fried chicken, salt pepper and flour the chicken, pan fry til browned, then put in oven at 350 for at least 30 min.
