Either by replacing it and all the other gaskets (rear and oil pan too), or you can try a gasket re-conditioner like Bars leak seal, get it at any auto part store. When you add the re-conditioner you do it when you change your oil. After you add the re-conditioner it takes about 3 days to stop the leak.

The front seal is located behind the crankshaft pulley. You will need a puller from a local auto parts store to remove the pulley and access the seal.

Remove the cooling fan and fan shroud (on a rear wheel drive) and belt(s). Remove the harmonic-balancer from the crank shaft. Use a small, sharp pin punch to make a hole in the seal. Insert a proper fitting screw into the hole to pull the seal out. Reverse to install.

The best thing to do when you are fixing a seal is to pull the hub off and then you will see the seal. Pull the old seal out and then clean the seal housing and the base where it would be on the car and install the new seal.
