On a windows machine, go to start --> run --> type in CMD and click ok. Once the CMD prompt window opens, type in IPCONFIG and press enter. The line which says "default gateway" is the IP address of your default router. You can usually enter this IP address into a web browser and connect to it.

If your using Windows you need to open the command line and type "ipconfig". If you are using Linux then you need to type "ifconfig". It might be called default gateway and not default router.

Under Windows, you can try clicking the button on the bottom left corner (Start), selecting "Run" and typing "cmd" (no quotes) in there. Once on the black command-line, you can type "route" (again without quotes) and press the enter key. You'll see a line with "0.0.0.0". The IP on the right hand side of it is your router's IP address.

What you'll need to do is pull up your startup, and type cmd in the search programs and files bar and hit enter. This will pull up a black screen and now you're at the command promt.put in ipconfig and the 4th set of numbers will be the default router.

Click the start button. Type "ipconfig" in the "Start Search" or "Search" field and hit Enter. The section that says "Default Gateway" will tell you your Router's address.
