To delete your Google history depends on your specific browser. On Mozilla, for instance, click on 'tools' - 'clear recent history' - and it will delete all of your recent history, including all of your google searches. This is the easiest way to delete your browsing history without going into cache files.

Delete all your temporary cookies in your temp folder. Or, you can simply type a word you wish deleted, and when the drop down box shows, hit delete while highlighted.

Just open Internet Explorer and go to tools in the top right corner, click on internet options and then click on delete browser history.
