Depending on the age of the child, pink items would thrill a little girl, but if the child is older, white may be the way to go. A four-poster bed with canopy and lacy bedspread is always a favorite. Use pink or white accessories and paint the walls accordingly.

Just because it is a girl's room, it doesn't have to be princess pink. Start with basics - what are her favorite colors? Or if she is too young for that, what are yours? Then chose a simple theme that the child will enjoy some alternate options could be: animals, stars, sailboats, cartoon characters - even polka dots!
