How do you check for lice?

I am concerned that now that school has started that my children will contract lice and would like to check them for it.

Use a comb and slide it through the hair located at the scalp. The first thing to look for when you're doing lice checks are little black specks. These black specks are not nits, but lice poop. That is usually a dead giveaway.

You need a fine tooth comb. Part hair in the middle all the way to the back and check for little white eggs (some are black), check the comb too.
