How do you care for a potted hydrangea?

A friend brought me one that's beautiful but I don't have a green thumb by any means?

Hydrangea plants do well in pots, tubs or other type containers if they are potted in rich, porous soil with oraganic peat moss added to the soil. Also make sure the plant is always well drained after each watering. Place your hydrangea in a sunny location with morning sun and light afternoon shade for best results.

Hydrangeas are best when planted outdoors in a partial-shade condition. If planting isn't an option, then keeping the hydrangea at the sunniest window in a cool room is preferred. Allow the soil surface to dry between watering and do not leave in standing water.

Hydrangeas thrive as garden plants and shrubs. Keep them in areas exposed to full dun or partial shade. Protect the plants from cool drying winds

Potted hydrangeas need plenty of water and fertilizer. Keep the potted plant in a sun place in the morning and a shady place in the afternoon.
