The Toyota Prius has a special tire system that reduces friction while in contact with the road. The tires are manufactured and inflated to a specific value. See your dealer.

Purchase a tire pressure gauge at your local auto parts store. The recommended tire pressure is found inside your owners manual, use this whenever possible rather than what is written on the tire. Remove the cap from the valve stem on the tire and fill accordingly using an air compressor. Check the pressure using the gauge. Never overfill the tire!

First you eill need to buy a tire gauge from your local hardware store. on your tires there is a max psi number that your tires should be filled to. Use the tire gauge to check the tire pressure before you add any air if is air is needed than add to the suggested amount. Repeat for all tires.

use a calibrated tire gauge to chack the tire pressure. use preferably analog or digital type compared to the coventional pencil type gauge which are notoriously inaccutrate. so this way we can calibrate the pressure on a tyre on a toyota prius this very perfect method anlog meter is better then digital meter
