Most nail salons do the designs free hand with small bristle brushes, They use small even strokes to get the cool designs completed. They also use a paint not a nail polish since the polish is to thick for the design to professional. If they use polish then then you could also drag the color.

I know now they have these stamping kits that you can buy and they look really good. I also heard something very interesting about how they print them out like paper. You can pick from their designs or you can even design your own. You can also bring a picture and have them put it on your nails.
