It depends whats wrong with it. Is it fuel injected, or is it carburated? Check for ignition first by removing a spark plug and watching it arc. Check for fuel by spraying carb cleaner down the manifold throat. Make sure there is air going into the motor. These basics will solve most problems.
To begin, check spark from coil, check fuel pressure from gas line port and check air flow to throttle. After these checks, narrow the search by each system.
Hook it up to a computer to see what codes are coming up on that first .Then after that is done you should know if it can be fixed .then do what the computer says to do .And do it to the OEM specks.So you know it was done right .
