How do I replace the modulator valve in a Mercedes Benz?

unbolt the modulator's 2 allen-head bolts, and clean the area with brake cleaner or something similar. Put the new modulator in the hole where the old one was.

Remove the vacuum hose from vacuum modulator. Look for the transmission fluid in the hose. Remove the bolt from the small bracket which holds modulator into the transmission. Now remove the modulator valve. Make the replacement and place the bolt again with vacuum hose connected.
