Boot up your computer, and insert your windows 98 cd into the drive. Navigate to the cd and start up setup.exe and follow the directions. I believe you can either do a clean install (erasing everything and starting fresh) or a dirty install (over write system files keeping everything else).

You'll most likely need to format your computer if you're having hardware problems but in general it's a pretty strait forward process. Simply place the Windows 98 CD into your CD Rom drive and you'll be prompted to format your hard drive. Follow the instructions for creating and installing a partition, and you're all set.

You need to have the re-installation disk in order to reinstall windows 98. Just pop in the program and follow the on screen instructions.

Restart your computer, hit delete and you will enter into BIOS. In CMOS change the boot priority to cd-rom first then hard disk. Insert windows 98 cd and restart. Setup will start and guide you through rest of the process.
