First off you need to make sure that the place you're keeping the rabbits is safe. There has to be a secure pen or fence that other animals can't get through. They also need protection from the rain and from direct sunlight. Make sure the pen is a sufficient size for the number of rabbits and keep it clean.

Rabbits should never be raised outdoors. These are very delicate creatures. They can die easily of parasites or even just stress from a dog barking at them.

Prepare an area for breeding and raising. Get all of your cages secure and ready for the rabbits. Talk with a local vet about common rabbit illnesses to watch for. Decide on the rabbits you are going to raise and start by getting one of each sex.
