Garlic needs very little attention to grow big and healthy. With garlic all you need to is plant it and water it some. There isn't much else to to besides maybe put some plant food with the soil.

You do not need to be an expert gardener to grow garlic, because it is fairly easy, and you can begin by choosing a relatively-sunny site with not-too-wet soil where you can insert into the ground the small cloves that will eventually form a plant that has just a single bulb.

Plant bulbs about 2 inches deep in late fall or early winter. Cover with compost to fertilize, keep the flowers trimmed. Harvest in the fall
