You can plant lemon grass seeds, but that will take a long time. You can also buy lemon grass from the store and plant those. Trim away dead parts and plant the lemon grass in water and give some sun. Wait for root so grow about 2 inches and then plant them outside in the ground or in pots.

You will need to plant the lemon grass in tilled soil about one inch below the surface. Once the grass is planted the key to making it grow is large amounts of water. You should have the sprinkler on for at least 4 hours per day for the first 2 months for the grass to take to the soil.
