How do I go about changing com1 com2 ports?

It should be no problem at all. Just switch your cable to the other port and hook it up, it should be recognized.

You cannot change the communication ports com1 and com2 because these are integrated in the motherboard. If you want to change the ports use adapters to change it.

The communication ports, com1 and com2 cannot be changed because it is embedded in the mother board. There are ways to changing the ports by using the adopters available. It enables us to change the com1 and com2 ports as desired. Avoid damaging of pins while using adopters for the ports.

first make sure that both COM ports are installed. Then go to hardware and enable the COM port that you want to use. Finally unless you are running something else in the other port, disable it.
