How do I get rid of the halo on my TV's display?

Degaussing it might solve the problem, the option comes in the menu. The tube might have gone bad or a magnet might have been placed near it.

Try degaussing it (look in menu). Putting a strong magnet, like a speaker, near the set will cause the screen to discolor. The tube may be going bad.
